On behalf of Mr. Joseph Logan Pearce, Jr., Elliott Consulting is requesting review of an Application for a
Mining Permit for a new mine operation slated for development in Scuppernong Township, Tyrrell County,
North Carolina. The operation is referred to as the Pearce Woodley Mine based on family ownership of the
property and includes a total permit area of 5.24 acres.
The following documents are enclosed to support the Application (6 copies of each):
• Mining Permit Application
• $3,750 permit Processing Fee
• Adjoinder Notification Map
• Mine and Reclamation maps with construction details
• USGS Quad Site Map
• Copy of Application for NCG020000 coverage for proposed dewatering activities
• Copy of NCDEQ DWR Registration Application for Water Usage
