Mike McGill, of Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., called Adam Parr of,the DEMLR, Mining Program at
12:49 pm on August 30, 2023 to give notice of a flyrock incident at the Caldwell Quarry(Permit#14-07).
The shot occurred earlier in the morning on the same day of the phone call. An investigation is
underway and a report will be provided to the Department to explain the cause of the incident.
Dyno Nobel was the contract blaster on the shot.
