Good morning
We've received comments from NCDEQ for your E&S permit and a response is required by 3-15.
Tommy is currently working on the few comments that require our response or plan revisions. We
will be submitting our response back to NCDEQ this afternoon.
I think that if you write a letter that states that it is your understanding that the current mine
permittee has requested release of the mining permit (we have already submitted the mine release
request, project narrative, and mine release form to NCDEQ) and you have no intent to mine the
property. I'd also state that you're in agreement to provide final stabilization of the property since
you will be disturbing the property for the construction of a single-family residential subdivision.
Thanks,
Joseph Bland, PE

Trentt,
Please have the site we spoke about submit
1. Mine Release Request
2. Narrative stating that the mine will be use for another purpose and that the
permittee will submit an ESC plan for this purpose. Letter signed from the new
owner willing to accept with signature.
Once I get this info from the permittee, I'll forward to you for a release. Since there has
been a recent inspection and you already have the ESC plan you can provide comments
as such. Then I'll be able to release the site.
Thanks,
