During a review of our files the original Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 40630 was found in the
reclamation security safe. This security should have been returned to you with the release letter dated
January 15, 2020, when your company was released from further reclamation responsibility for this site
with respect to the Mining Act of 1971
An inspection was made of the above mine on November 5, 2019, in accordance with N.C.G.S. §74-56 of
the Mining Act of 1971.
The mine was found to be satisfactorily reclaimed. Therefore, your company is released from further
reclamation responsibility for this site with respect to the Mining Act of 1971. I am returning your
company's Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 40630 issued by United Carolina Bank in the sum of
$6,400.00 to you for your disposal.
