Good morning, Gentlemen, Brian - I left you a voicemail yesterday afternoon. Mr.Williamson received your letter and came by to review with us.We had some general questions and would like to discuss them when you have some availability. I have roughly laid out a few points for discussion below: Regarding Compliance Evaluation Inspection -#WT003522 We have reviewed your letter and have filled out the NCG020000 and NCG210000.We just wanted to verify the process since in the application checklist there are site plan requirements, but you indicate that a NOI must be submitted within 15 days. Currently,we do not have enough data to develop an accurate site plan for the activities that have occurred. We have advised Mr.Williamson to order survey so we may develop an accurate site plan. The letter also states that upon receipt of the NOI, an inspector will inspect the site and review permit requirements. Regarding Mining Permit 10-30 NOV We have advised Mr.Williamson to cease all mining activities until the project site is brought back into compliance and NCDEQ has confirmed that mining may resume. We have advised Mr.Williamson to install silt fence adjacent to all disturbed areas where runoff would be expected to occur. We have advised Mr.Williamson to stabilize disturbed areas that have been previously disturbed that are outside of the permit boundary. We recommend that silt fence be installed around stockpiles that are outside of the permitted mine permit boundary. Mr.Williamson has indicated that he will begin work to reestablish the disturbed buffer indicated in item#1. Mr.Williamson indicated that he will have the wetlands and undisturbed buffer identified in the field as requested in item#2. Mr.Williamson indicated that he will comply with all permit requirements as indicated on the 11-17-2006 mine map in item#3. Mr.Williamson will mark all affected boundaries as requested for item #4. N&B would like to request a copy of the aforementioned mine map dated 11-17-2006. We will be assisting Mr.Williamson with a formal response and preparation of the required permit modification as mentioned in item A.
