Good morning Mark,
Thank you for your comments related to the 23-03 permit modification.
1. Have there been any complaints regarding known or suspected mine impact on wells, water
supply, ponds, water quality, etc. If so, please describe.
• We have not had any mining impact complaints at this location regarding impact on
wells, water supply, ponds, or water quality.
2. Is the dewatering rate indicated in C.3.0 (p. 7) in addition to the current dewatering rate? If
so, please explain.
• We do not anticipate an increase to the current dewatering rate.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
Thanks,
Jay Nivens

Mr. Nivens,
I am reviewing the subject application from the standpoint of the mine's potential impact to
groundwater resources and have several questions.
1. Have there been any complaints regarding known or suspected mine impact on wells, water
supply, ponds, water quality, etc. If so, please describe.
2. Is the dewatering rate indicated in C.3.0 (p. 7) in addition to the current dewatering rate? If
so, please explain.
Thank you.
