Dear Mr. Matthews:
The last letter to you dated October 21,2020 from the North Carolina Department of
Environmental Quality enclosed a Standby Letter of Credit issued by Southern Bank and Trust Company
in behalf of Commercial Ready Products, Inc. (Letter of Credit No. 573-21 effective September 10, 2020,
in the amount of$172,000.00). This enclosure was sent in error. The Department the appreciates the
return of the SLOC issued by Southern Bank in a letter from you dated October 27, 2020.
This letter confirms that your request to have Mining Permit No.08-22 transferred in its entirety
from your company, EWM,LLC.,to Commercial Ready Mix Products,Inc., has been approved. As we
have received Commercial Ready Mix Products,Inc.'s required surety in an amount sufficient to cover
the present operation,your company is hereby released from further responsibility for this site with
respect to The Mining Act of 1971. Therefore, I am returning your$162,000.00 Irrevocable Standby
Letter of Credit(No. 103)to you for your disposal.
