activities for the last half of 2023, and the reclamation plans for the first half of 2024. Also
enclosed with the description is a support map which visually depict the activities.

Gypsum Stack Area
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Gypsum was actively removed from Gypsum Stack 6 and blended with
clay for reclamation.
Gypsum storage was directed to Gypsum Stack 4.
Gypstack 5 underwent drying activities.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Gypsum storage will continue on Gypsum Stack 4 during the next six
months.
Drying activities will continue on Gypsum Stack 5.
Gypsum will be actively removed from Gypsum Stack 6 during the next six
months.

Activity during Previous Six Months:
Reclamation activities complete. Continued monitoring.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Reclamation activities complete. Continue monitoring.

Activity during Previous Six Months:

Activity during Previous Six Months:
The Mine Refuse Disposal Area continued to receive material.
Reclamation activities complete on the remainder of R4.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
The Mine Refuse Disposal Area will continue to receive material.
Reclamation activities complete on the remainder of R4.
Reclaim Area 5
Activity during Previous Six Months:
R5 East: Reclamation activites complete. Continued monitoring.
R5 West: Reclamation activites complete. Continued monitoring.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
R5 East: Reclamation activites complete. Continue monitoring.
R5 West: Reclamation activities complete. Continue monitoring.
Reclaim Area 6
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Stormwater from this area was monitored, treated and discharged through
permitted Outfalls according to our NPDES permit. Reclamation activities
complete.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Stormwater from R-6 will continue to be monitored, treated and
discharged through permitted Outfalls according to our NPDES permit.
Reclaim Area 7
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Water from this area was maintained as part of the internal water
management system.
Prestrip spoil was placed in the southern portion of R7.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Water from this area will continue to be maintained as part of the internal
water management system.
Prestrip spoil will continue to be placed in the southern portion of R7.

Reclaim Area 81 Dredge Lake
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Prestrip spoils were placed in the northern portion of R8 for blend capping.
Water from this area was maintained as part of the internal water
management system.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Water from this area will be maintained as part of the internal water
management system.
Reclaim Area 9
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Water from this area is returned to the mine process water system. Sand
tails were deposited in the area and capping activities continued.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Water will continue to be drained off of the blend surface. Sand tails will
continue to be deposited in the area and capping activities will advance.
Reclaim Area 10
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Internal ditching was started to lower the water level in the area. Placing
capping material over blend was completed.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Water from this area is directed to the internal water management system.
The cap will be graded and vegetation will be established.
Reclaim Area 11
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Used as process water return system as it returns water to the Recycle
Lake. Sand tails was placed in the area to prepare for capping activities.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Sand tails will continue be deposited in the area to prepare for capping
activities.

Reclaim Area 12:
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Groundwater sampling continued. Blend material was placed in the
reclamation area.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Groundwater monitoring will continue. Blend will continue to dry.
Reclaim Area 13:
Activity during Previous Six Months:
This area was used as a water clarification and blend placement area.
Monitoring continued on perimeter groundwater wells.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Continue ground water monitoring. This area will be used to treat process
water as it returns to the Recycle Lake. Blend material will be placed in
this area.
Reclaim Area 14:
Activity during Previous Six Months:
This area was used as a water clarification area.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Continued use as water clarification area is planned.
Reclaim Area 15:
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Stormwater from this area was monitored, treated and discharged through
permitted Outfalls according to our NPDES permit.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Reclamation activities and area monitoring will continue. Stormwater from
this area will continue to be monitored, treated and discharged through permitted
Outfalls according to our NPDES permit.

This area was mined continuously over the previous six months.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Mining in this area continues.
Reclaim Area 17:
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Prestripping and mine development activities were completed in the area.
Planned Activity for the next Six Months:
Will continue installation of roads and water controls. Mining activities will
begin.
Knob Lake
Activity during Previous Six Months:
This area was used as a water clarification area.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Continued use as water clarification area is planned.
Charles Tract
Activity during Previous Six Months:
Reclamation activities complete. Continued monitoring.
Planned Activity for next Six Months:
Reclamation activities complete. Continued monitoring.
