Attachment 1
Response to ADI_2024.03.06
1. After reviewing the drill pad locations, it is requested to change the sediment and erosion
control measures,as proposed on the mine maps,at the following three drill pads: HAC-008 to
Type A, DRA-BH-029 to Type A,and HAC-030 to Type B.
Response:The erosion and sediment control measures have been revised as requested and provided
on the revised Mine Map.
2. Southeast of"#1 Pond" is a Swale that the sewer demo runs through. Please confirm that
appropriate sediment and erosion control measures will be taken to prevent impact to the
surrounding wetlands.
Response:A drainage feature (swale) routes water to the sand tailings pit. All drainage is internal to
the site and does not run off-site or enter a stream or wetland. To provide a stronger measure of
erosion and sediment control, additional measures (silt fence and silt fence outlet) have been
incorporated and are shown on the revised Mine Map.
3. Please indicated all current and proposed outfalls or discharges on the mine map. This should
include outfalls 004, 005A,and 005E as referenced in the Stormwater Pollution Protection Plan
submitted with your application.
Response: Outfall locations 004,005A, and 005B are now shown on the revised Mine Map.
4. Please provide a typical cross-section for any existing or perimeter channels on the mine
maps.
Response:They are no existing or perimeter channels on the East Mine site. There are however,
swales that direct water to internal areas with no off-site runoff or runoff to existing streams and
wetlands.A typical swale cross-section is provided on the revised Mine Map.
