Dear Mr. Parr;
Please find attached the resubmittal for the above referenced project addressing comments received on
the February 26, 2024. Responses will be noted in Green. Please review the following responses to
comments:
I. The proposed impact to wetlands has the potential to violate standards of surface water quality
(N.C.G.S. §74-51(d)(3)). Please clarify if you intend to mitigate these impacts through permitting,
other methods, or a combination of both. If you intend to mitigate impacts through permitting,please
clarify whether you intend to submit proof of required permits(e.g.,401/404, pre-construction
notification(PCN)to DWR, etc.). If you intend to mitigate impacts through other methods(e.g.
buffering,etc.),please provide additional details on those mitigation measures, including any new
maps to illustrate how those measures will be implemented.
The excavation of the pit has been phased to allow time for the permitting of the wetlands on the southern portion of
the pit.A 50ft undisturbed buffer has been provided around the wetland area until permitted.A copy of the permit will
be provided to the state prior to excavation of the wetlands.
