Salisbury Street FEB 2 17024 Raleigh, NC 27604 LAND QUALITY MINING PROGRAM Re: Kennedy Sand Mine Review Comment Response Brunswick County, NC NT Project No. 19016 Dear Mr. Parr, Our January 17, 2024, response to the review comment letter dated December 20, 2023, did not address the last comment: 10. Due to the potential presence of threatened and endangered species on the site, please provide either proof of consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service or conduct an online IPaC evaluation to acquire an effect determination. The IPaC site, listed below would direct the applicant in the appropriate actions. Species that may be in the project area include the federally endangered northern long-eared bat, proposed endangered tricolored bat, and listing candidate monarch butterfly. The Client's environmental consultant will provide the required documentation. We have now received the Threatened and Endangered Species Report from the Client's consultant and have enclosed two copies as requested. Please advise if anything additional is required. Thank you.
