On behalf of ARBD, LLC (ARBD), Smith Gardner, Inc. (S+G) is pleased to submit the enclosed
mining permit application for the Stone LCID Landfill & Mine located in Chapel Hill, Chatham
County, North Carolina. ARBD operates a land clearing and inert debris (LCID) landfill in this
facility under the active NC Solid Waste Permit No. 19-09. A permit expansion application for
the LCID landfill was submitted to the Solid Waste Section in February 2023 and is currently
under review. This mining permit application includes the existing facility and proposed
expansion limits from the solid waste permit application.
The application is complete except for the following:
• Five (5) certified mail receipts from adjoining landowner notifications are still out for
delivery.
The remaining notification receipts will be provided to you as soon as they are received.
