Dear Adam Parr:
I am respectfully applying for a mining permit in Lenoir County. This request is made by Barnhill
Contracting Company to excavate sand, clay, and other earthen materials to use as borrow on local
projects. We are currently in the process of purchasing the tract of land from John W. Creech Jr, Sandra
C. Jackson, and Sean J. Creech upon the approval of this permitting request.
Please find enclosed one(1) original and five (5)copies of the completed application, six(6)
copies of all location maps, mine maps, and reclamation maps. A check in the amount of$5,000.00 for
the application fee has also been enclosed. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
