Dear Mr. Parr:
Enclosed please find Martin Marietta's application to modify Mining Permit Number 67-01 for Belgrade
Quarry, located in Onslow and Jones Counties, North Carolina. The application will not add property to
the permit boundary. The proposed modification modifies the disturbed area by 105 acres. The
proposed changes include expanding the current pit to the north after relocating a stream,adding a new
pit south of the existing pit,with access, and updates other categories in the included acreage table
based on new mapping. A Jones Count Floodplain Development has been submitted,and included for
reference in this application. The attached 401/404 Permits allow for the proposed impacts shown on
the mine map.

• Five(5)copies of the application package
• A check for the$1000 permit modification fee
