Dear Mr. Pharr:
On behalf of Keller Mining, MEADE GUNNELL Engineering, P.C. (MGE) re-submits the Mining Permit
Application with corrections to the plans and application as noted below:
1. Please provide proof of notification to all adjoining landowner:
a) A copy of the returned receipts is included with this submittal.There were six non-responses and
three returned receipts. Daniel Hefner address was corrected and remailed on today's date..
2. Affected Acreage Correction
a) The Mine Permit Map and tables within application has been corrected to include the buffer area..
3. Easement Issue
a) The mine area and access road have been removed from the easement area..
4. Haul Road Issue -
a) The proposed haul road has been revised to access Wright Road.The Mine Maps have been revised to eliminate
access road to the north along the easement.
5. Buffer Permit Area
a) The buffer area is now included as permitted acreage.
6. Mine Permit Area
a) The permitted acreage tables now have been revised to reflect the Permit Map C-205

7. Existing Mining
a) The application has been revised to show existing mining.
8. Overburden Storage
a) Top soil storage areas are now shown designated in three areas on the Mine Permit Map.
9. NOI Submission
a) A copy of the NOI is attached including the proof of submission.
10.& 11. Applicant Name
a) The name of the mine has been updated on the maps to match the application.
12. County
a) The county is now shown on all maps.
13. Cross Section
a) The cut slopes cross section A-A' is shown on the Mine Permit Map C-205.
14. Fence
a) The fence is now shown on the Surrounding Properties Map C-200 and Mine Permit Map C-
205.
15. Comments from USFWS and NCWRC
a) An environmental Evaluation was previously conducted by Pilot Environmental for the adjoining
NCDO Borrow Pit. The Keller Mining Borrow Pit is shown on sheet C-200. A copy of the report
is now included with this submittal for reference.
16. Zoning
a) Keller Mining will comply with zoning rules, such as providing a minimum 80-ft buffer
surrounding the mine pit area,
