The mine encompasses 90.16 acres of area to be covered under the permit. It is located off Highway 421 just north of the existing 421 Sand Mine. Hydraulic Dredge will be the mining method used. There will be no discharge to the waters of the state. A pump will be utilized, if necessary, and will pump to the existing mined/sediment basin on the adjacent permitted mine. The mine is bordered by some wetlands to the east and west. There are also some small pockets of isolated wetlands within the boundary. They are shown here on the plans but are currently under review for removal. The permit will be forwarded to you upon receipt. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. Sincerely Adam H.
