Response to Item H and I.
When Dewatering occurs at site it will be pumped from mine area into existing
sediment pond shown on the map with a 3" electric pump. Water will then travel
down outfall ditch. Prior to starting the Permit application a Represenative from
DEQ instructed me that I could utilize this old mine area for a sediment pond.
Therefore, it has already been constructed except for a proposed dam shown on
the map. Periodic Inspections will determine the maintenance needed for
sediment pond. Rock dam will also be inspected before and after any heavy
rains or dewatering activities and remain in place.
