Hi Adam,
We were worried that not all wetlands and streams are identified on the drawings. The stream
where the temporary crossing will eventually occur isn't identified on the map, but some wetlands
downstream are. So long as streams and wetlands won't be impacted, nothing is required from
DWR. However, their plans show wetlands within the 10-year quarry expansion limit and what will
eventually be a conversion to open waters. This conversion will possibly require a permit, along with
any other impacts that may occur before then. If this conversion won't occur for a while, then they
should wait before getting a permit.
Thanks,
Joey

Joey/Shawna,
There was some confusion on Vulcan Materials (VMC) end when we were asking for
correspondence by USACE on the temporary crossing. The temporary crossing shown in green on
the previous map has not been installed as previously indicated by VMC and VMC admits that prior
to that crossing going in there will be correspondence/permitting with USACE and DWR. Since there
are no immediate plans to install that crossing it has been removed from the attached revised map
and will be addressed with a future modification.
Please let me know if this revision addresses your previous comments or if you have any additional
comments that would need to be clarified with an additional information letter.
Thanks,
