This letter is in response to your letter sent on March 3, 2021 requesting the approval of a temporary ready -mix
concrete tenant site. This modification allows the area approved in modification dated June 15, 2020 as an
overburden storage area to be used as a tenant site for a ready -mix concrete plant that will produce concrete for the
I-26 bridge and road improvement project. The location of the ready -mix concrete plant is shown on the site map
dated October 16, 2020 and received on February 15, 2021. This request is hereby approved and is contingent upon
the following: The concrete tenant site will return to an overburden storage area at the completion of the I-26
bridge and road improvement project.
Please attach this approval letter your existing mining permit for future reference. The expiration date, mine name
and permit number on the permit document shall remain the same as before this modification.
The issuance of a mining permit and/or any modification to it does not supersede local zoning regulations. The
responsibility of compliance with any applicable zoning regulations lies with you.
As a reminder, your permitted acreage at this site is 167.02 acres and the amount of land you are approved to disturb
is 108.Oacres.
