HomeMy WebLinkAbout20210303_signed requestmuW18ilLn March 3, 2021 Adam Parr Assistant State Mining Engineer Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality 512 N Salisbury Street Raleigh, North Carolina 27699-1612 RE: Hendersonville Quarry Permit No. 45-01 Temporary Ready Mix Concrete Tenant Site Dear Mr. Parr, As requested, Vulcan's June 15, 2020 Mine Permit Modification Approval, included updating existing sedimentation and erosion control measures to the new design standards for the southern portion of the quarry along Nix Rd. Our design goal was to remove soil overburden from above the mineral deposit has been achieved and the design grades shown for the overburden storage area have also been achieved. The completed storage area is now going to be utilized as a temporary ready -mix concrete tenant site. This ready -mix plant will be producing concrete for the I-26 Bridge and road improvements. Please see attached exhibit for your reference showing the ready -mix concrete plant layout on our existing approved modification June 15, 2020 drawings.
