Additional Extension Request for Response to Additional Information
Request, dated January 14, 2022
Dear Mr. Miller:
Piedmont Lithium Carolinas, Inc. (PLCI) appreciates that on July 12, 2022 the agency granted
an extension to the Additional Information Request dated January 14, 2022 which provided us
until January 8, 2023 to submit a complete response. As of the date of this letter, we are not
able to complete all requests for information by the current deadline as Long Creek WWTF
(NC0020184) is currently in the process of completing a background study regarding their ability
to treat the proposed flow of water from the project; which will not be complete in time to
accommodate a January 8th submittal.
Due to the above -mentioned delay, we would like to request an additional extension past current
January 8, 2023 extension deadline on our response to the Additional information Request dated
January 14, 2022. We are requesting an additional extension until May 1, 2023. This extension
will allow Long Creek WWTF to complete their background study, evaluate the data from their study
and our wastewater analysis details, and collaborate with us and Division of Water (DWR) on next
steps so we may adequately respond to the additional request for information.
