Water is pumped from the current mining area into the previously mined area (pond). Much of the water simply flows back into the sandy soil. Any overflow from the pond flows through the basins shown on the previously approved mine plan. The current pump is a Cornell 6-STX, which operates approximately 4 hours per 24-hour day, and has a capacity of 2,000 gallons per minute in current configuration. 2. Application has been made with the Division of Water Resources for a CCPCUA permit. See attached application form. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. This request does not add acreage to the permitted area but expands the "mining area" into a previous buffer area. This will add 4.15 acres to the "mining area". There are no wetlands or streams within this area. This modification request also includes allowing concrete to be brought onsite for crushing and recycling for re-sale. This will occur in the present "stockpile" area, so no new acreage is affected. Mining will continue as in the existing permit and will be contiguous to the existing mining area. All runoff remains within the mining area and ponds and is periodically pumped as necessary. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. SincerelyZ,4,%LA James C.
