Mining Expansion Construction sequence
1. Obtain DEMUR Mining Permit and all applicable permits for construction.
2. Clear only necessary areas to allow for the installation of the approved erosion control measures.
3. Once erosion control measures are installed seed and stabilize the installed erosion control measures.
4. Clearing and grubbing of work area can begin. Work areas cleared must be within the installed
erosion control measure drainage areas.
5. Maintenance of erosion control meal ires(ie. silt fence, diversion structures, check dams, sediment
basins, etc.) must be completed at regular intervals. Accumulated sediment In the installed basins
when the storage volume is half full.
6. Any development occurring where the stormwater runoff can be directed to the existing pit does
not have to have sediment control basins installed. The existing pit is used for treatment of runoff.
7. Once the contributing areas have been stabilized the erosion control measures can be removed and
the areas graded and stabilized.
