As you are aware, this office received the required 60 day Notice of Bond Cancellation from First Citizens Bank of your company's $39,900.00 mine reclamation bond (Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. SB92857) for this site. This office issued you a letter confirming the pending cancellation on September 30, 2021, which your company received on October 6, 2021. This letter stated that if the bond was not replaced by October 29, 2021, the permit would be automatically revoked and no longer valid. An inspection of the site by personnel from the Wilmington Regional Office was last conducted on October 18, 2022. The inspection revealed that the site was not sufficiently reclaimed. Please note that no mining activities may occur at this site until an application for a new mining permit is received and approved by this office.
