Whitlow City Manager SUBJECT: Notice to Adjacent Property Owners Application for Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Permit Contract 79 —North 20'h Street Force Main Relocation Town of Morehead City The Town of Morehead City plans to replace an existing 8" force main along North 2& Street with a new 8" force main to be installed along the west side of North 20th Street from the Town's existing pumping station located at 803 North 2& Street to BayView Cemetery. The Town is required to obtain a CAMA Permit prior to construction. In order to obtain a CAMA Permit the Town is required to provide notice of the proposed project to adjoining property owners. The purpose of this Ietter is to provide notice of the project in accordance with the CAMA requirements. Proposed improvements are expected to cost approximately $100,000 and require approximately 2 months for construction. Property owners desiring to comment on the proposed work or object to the project may do so. P1an.Sheets The project involves the replacement of the existing 8" diameter force main from the Town's pumping station at 803 North 20th Street to BayView Cemetery. The new 8" force main will be located along the western edge of the NCDOT R/W from the pumping station (803 N 201h St) to BayView Cemetery where it will cross under North 20th Street and connect to the existing 8" force main on the east side of North 20th Street. Calico Creek will be crossed via directional drilling. Open cut construction will be required at each end of the work to connect to the existing force main.
