This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

RE: Permit for replacing seawall and dredging in boat basin damaged due to
hurricanes/ Salty Shores/ Bogue Sound/ Taylor property
We are applying for permit to replace seawall and dredge boat basin located on
property adjacent to Bogue Sound, Salty Shores subdivision owned by Luellen
Taylor. This damage was due to hurricanes Bertha and Fran. Please find attached
drawing and signatures from adjacent property owners.
Specifications:
• All designated areas will be encompassed by black silt fence and secured with
staking.
• Boat basin is 30'x60'
• Channel into basin is 30'x66'
• Proposed dredging is approx 250 yards of spoils.
• Existing boat ramp will be closed in with bulkhead panels 7
• Dredging_wifl--extend X-below mean tow -water 1)6 1 n :240 �'}Clt-,o
• Bulkhead will consist of 2' concrete panels
• Panels will be installed by jetting action
• Concrete cap will be placed on top of panels to finish
• Spoils area is 40'x60' - see drawing
• Spoils will be stabilized with rye grass and wheat straw
• Dragline will be used to dredge boat basin - see drawing for location of
equipment.
