imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-

permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

This letter is in reference to your CAMA General Permit which was issued on July 12, 1999.
This permit authorized the construction of a pier, platform and boat house structure as well as
approximately 100 linear feet of rip rap shoreline stabilization along the shoreline of your property
located at 104 Chowan Trail, Chowan Beach within the waters of the Chowan River in Chowan
County.
On October 18, 1999 a site visit was conducted at this site to determine and confirm that your
project was completed in accordance with the rules of the North Carolina Administrative Code
and the Coastal Area Management Act concerning the above referenced construction. During
this visit, it became apparent that you have not completed the work proposed and previously
authorized under the above referenced General Permit. As a courtesy, I wish to remind you that
CAMA Permit 021920A expired on October 10, 1999. Since the proposed work falls within the
permit jurisdictional areas defined as Estuarine Waters and/or Public Trust Area, as described in
Subchapter 7H .0206 and .0207 respectively, of the North Carolina Administrative Code, a permit
will be required from this Division prior to the completion of this project as originally approved in
CAMA General Permit 021920A.
