Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . Hampson Proposed construction of a bulkhead, pier, L-head and wooden groin at 125 Main Street, Town of Bath in Beaufort County, Bath North Carolina Dear Ms. LeBolo: The Division of Coastal Management has reviewed your 24 June 2002 correspondence objecting to the above referenced project. The bulkhead, pier and wooden groin as proposed will be contained completely within the riparian access area and is consistent with North Carolina Administrative Code 07H.1100 (See Attached). The project as proposed is consistent with the appropriate rules and regulations of the Division. Therefore, on 8 July 2002 David Moye of my staff issued CAMA General Permit No. 31435-B authorizing the aforementioned project. (See Attached) If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days of the permit decision.
