Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. Fish, located at 303 Star Church Road, M:arshallburg Township, North Carolina, are requesting permission from adjoining neighbors to deepen their existing boat basin. The boat basin is located on Sleepy Creek in Carteret County. Charles & Arsel Sawyer. and David Pullen are the adjoining water front property owners, High and low tide depths in Sleepy Creek are regulated by the North East winds and the South West winds. When the wind blows from the South West, deep water at low tide its the Fish's boat basin is a trickle (0-10 inches), while deep water at low tide is 5 to 12 inches when the wind blows from the North East for several days. ,_a'/a The Fishes need to dredge—l;--�z feet of mud from. their boat basin. The boat Basin is approximately 43'X 93' and leads into deeper water on Sleepy Creek. Any land work will be limited to 303 Star Church Road. Upon Signatures, J. D. and Kay Fish will request a permit from. the N. C. Division of Coastal Management to proceed with the dredging as specified above. The existing channel is measured to be 24 inches deep during an average low tide. Refer to the attachments for the proposed area to be dredged.
