Dear Mr. Shaver,
Please find the enclosed information for your review. Also included is the $100.00 application
fee. The manmade canal covers an area of —82,000 square feet and we plan to move —20,000
square feet of material or —960 cubic yards for maintenance purposes. The contractor will dig no
closer than three feet to the bulkhead and the bottom will maintain a flat or positive flow towards
the head of the canal. The dredged material will be placed on a vacant parcel adjacent to the site
owned by the McLean Residuary Trust as indicated on the map.

Dear Mr. Shaver,
Enclosed is a map showing the initial proposed spoils site referenced in the September 11t'
request. On the same map, we show the new proposed spoils site located on 537 Deer Creek
Drive (Lot 18 Deer Creek). This new location fronts the subject canal and the spoils pile will be
approximately eighty to a hundred feet north of the canal's bulkhead. Please accept this letter as
an amendment to the September 11t' request for a CAMA General Permit for Deer Creek Canal.
Also enclosed are copies of the Postal Service's mail receipts and letters addressed to the riparian
property owners along with a signed statement by one of them.
