Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Tindal:
We contacted your office last week in response to a letter from Richard Jordan. We left a
message for you to return our call, but perhaps you did not receive the message.
We have been notified by Richard A. Jordan & Associates, Inc., Builder that Michael and
Cindy Compreggie, the owner's of Lot 510 in Escoba Bay on Meridian Drive, Sneads
Ferry, NC, wish to build a pier or mooring. We understand that the afore mentioned pier
or mooring pilings, boathouse, dock, boatlift, or sandbags or breakwater must be set back
a minimum distance of fifteen feet from our area of riparian access. We, as owners of
Lot 509 in Escoba Bay on Meridian Drive, Sneads Ferry, NC, do not wish to waive the
setback.
We, Allan and Susan Dobzyniak, expect all minimum building setbacks to be observed
and do not wish to waive the setback requirements with respect to any pier, mooring
pilings, boatlift, boathouse, breakwater, or sandbags. A minimum distance of fifteen feet
(15') from our area of riparian access must be observed. Additionally, any building on
Lot 509 should observe the minimum building setbacks, twenty feet front, twenty feet
back, and ten feet combined side.
We have previously responded to this inquiry by certified mail and we are enclosing
copies of our previous correspondence. We hope we have clarified our position in this
