This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site
drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

I understand the proposed is to be a public verses a private dock. There
already exists a public launch ramp with docking facilities in the
immediate area. As a property owner, I believed the subdivisions
bordering the creek would limit dockage to lot owners for their personal
boats. I'm concerned, as a greater number of public facilities are created
in that very small creek, it will have a negative impact on property values.
I therefore will not sign the attached.

I am enclosing a copy of "Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement"
I received on August 19 from Coastal Marine Contractors, 1897 Jack
Rabbit Lane, New Bern, NC 28562, regarding the proposed construc-
tion of a pier adjacent to my property in Sea Vista development,
Oriental.
I am puzzled at this time to receive such a proposal since I have my
property for sale; my property has been on the market for over three
years, and I am hoping to be able to sell it soon. I am concerned that
this maneuver might affect my ability to sell the property.
I object to this proposed dock for the reason that this dock would
detract from my property and its value.

I have attached a letter I have received concerning the construction of a
pier on Lot #41 Dolphin Point, Oriental N.C.
I object to this proposal.
I understand the proposed is to be a public verses a private dock. There
already exists a public launch ramp with docking facilities in the
immediate area. As a property owner, I believed the covenants for Dolphin
Point subdivision, limited dock construction and usage to the individual
lot owners that border the creek, for their privately owned vessels. I'm
concerned as a greater number of public facilities are created in the
proposed restricted area, it will have a negative impact on property
values.
