Dear Mr. Hamilton:
The Sailors' Snug Harbor is a charitable, not -for -profit
organization dedicated to providing care for elderly and retired
seamen. Our facility is located in Sea Level, North Carolina. Not
far from our campus, we own a home on approximately five acres of
land. It borders your property on Hwy,70 running to Glover Creek.
For the benefit of the resident in this house, we would like
to put in a boat lift in the canal on the north side of our
property (the side away from you).
Our project would involve erecting a boat lift on four
pilings, a bulkhead on the shore running the length of the lift
(less than 25 feet) a modest amount of maintenance dredging and a
roof covering the lift for the protection of the boat. It would
not be offensive to look at, and will be approximately 500 feet
from the road.
In order to get the CAMA permit necessary to begin
construction, we need your agreement. Property owners on either
side of a CAMA project need to voice no objection so that a permit
can be issued. I have taken the liberty of enclosing a letter
which could be used as a guide for one that you might develop
yourself, or can be signed and returned to me in the self-
addressed, stamped envelope.

Dear Sir:
The Sailors' Snug Harbor is a charitable, not -for -profit
corporation dedicated to caring for elderly, retired seamen. One
portion of our real estate holdings includes a home and
approximately five acres of land in the Atlantic township,
bordering Hwy 70, and Glover Creek. For the benefit of the
resident of the home, we would like to construct a boat lift,
bulkhead the shore immediately adjacent to the boat lift, do
minimal maintenance dredging at the proposed lift site, and attach
a roof to the lift, affording shelter for the boat. The lift will
be approximately five hundred feet from the highway, on the canal
that runs to the road on the northern border of the property. A
photocopy of the tax map of this parcel is attached, and a red mark
indicates the approximate location of this proposed lift.
I hope that you, as the adjacent property owner, will have no
objection to this project. If you do, please do not hesitate to
