Senior Engineer Management Morehead City, NC 28557 Re: North Carolina State Ports Authority(NCSPA) Barge Fendering, Berth #9 Morehead City Terminal Dear Mr. Jones: The North Carolina State Ports Authority requests a CAMA General Permit for the Morehead City Terminal. This general permit would allow the installation of a barge fendering system along Berth #9. The purpose of the fendering system is to prevent cargo barges from drifting under the edge of Berth #9 during low tides. A blueline print of the proposed fendering system was delivered to your office on 2-13-96. Enclosed is the $50.00 permit fee and a letter of no objections from Mr. J.M.
