drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine,
imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to be-
come null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) this pro-
ject is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from
adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no
objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that
this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal
Management Program.

Enclosed is a copy of CAMA General Permit (GP) #C 016904 which is issued to Mr Ray
Houghton to allow construction of a new 84' long x 3' wide pier out to an existing boat house,
plus an "L" structure measuring 8' long x 3' wide, located at his property adjacent to 223
Landing Road and Whitehurst Creek, in Gloucester , Carteret County. The existing pier will
be removed. The permit was issues based upon its consistency with Coastal Resource
Commission's rules. If you would like to request a third party appeal of this permit decision,
please contact me at my Morehead City office and the proper forms will be provided to you.
This appeal must be filed within 20 days from the permit decision.
