This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available

Mr. Richard Stockett is developing the Mainsail of Beaufort, LLC project located
adjacent my home on Stanton Road. In conjunction with the Town of Beaufort, he is
applying for CAMA permits to relocate my existing sewer service to the new system that
has been constructed on his property.
I understand that a CAMA permit may also be required for the necessary excavation and
work to connect the new sewer service on my property.
Please consider this letter to be my request to be included as a co -applicant to the CAMA
permit process, along with the Town of Beaufort and Mainsail of Beaufort, LLC. As a co -
applicant, I understand that it will not be necessary for me to apply for an individual
permit to do this work.

You are correct. We do not "permit" individual service lines °�
connections, aka a building sewer. In my mind, no additional �ap�f 1 C! QtY 00C,"
should be required by anyone as this is a relocation and it is my
understanding that the new service line is closer to being outside the
AEC then the existing line & manhole which will be removed/abandoned.
Depending on depth of the service line and distance, then work may be
able to be done by hand with minimal disturbance as usually plumbers
install them without heavy equipment if this is the potential hang-up.
As I stated, since this service line crosses a property line, then a
deeded easement (usually 10-15 feet for repair/maintenance) needs to be
provided from her property to the point of connection on the new sewer
main to prevent . In addition, the connection on the new system cannot
be activated until the permitted main has been tested by & with the Town
and certified by a PE.

Beaufort Road in the Town of Beaufort. The project site also borders Town Creek and Stanton Road.
Mr. Stockett, the Town of Beaufort and Mrs. Wendy Edwards are co -applicants for a general CAMA permit to
relocate an existing Town of Beaufort sewer service to the new sewer system that has been constructed on the
Mainsail of Beaufort site. The sewer line to be relocated provides service to Mrs. Edwards' home located at 102
Stanton Road and is located within the coastal shoreline Area of Environmental Concern adjacent Town Creek.
As owner of property located on the west corner of Turner Street and West Beaufort Road, Carteret County is an
adjacent riparian property owner to the project. CAMA regulations require that we notify each adjacent riparian
property owner of the proposed activity and obtain a statement of "no objection" or provide an opportunity for the
neighbors to comment or object.
Enclosed with this letter are an Adjacent Riparian Property Owner Statement and a drawing of the proposed
development. If Carteret County has no objections to the proposal, please sign the statement and return copies of the
signed statement in the enclosed envelopes. If there are objections or comments, please write Mr. Brad Connell at
NC Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, North Carolina 28557 within ten
