violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local

JUMPING RUN CREEK
BARNSFIELD SUBDIVISION
NEWPORT, N.C.
SCOPE: MAINTENANCE DREDGING OF CHANNEL FROM MOUTH OF CREEK OUTWARD
INTO BOGUE SOUND. PROJECT WILL INVOLVE REMOVAL OF APPROXIMATELY 900
CUBIC YARDS OF MATERIAL TO ALLOW FOR A CHANNEL DEPTH AT MLW OF
APPROXIMATELY 4 FEET.
METHOD OF DREDGING: MATERIAL WILL BE REMOVED BY MUD BUCKET DREDGING
USING A BARGE MOUNTED EXCAVATOR.
SPOILS: SPOILS WILL BE OFF LOADED AT A WATERFRONT LOCATION ON JUMPING RUN
CREEK OVER A LOT LOCATED AT LOT 9, SECTION II, ON MOLLY LANE AND TRUCKED TO
ONE OF TWO SITES ON THE NORT SIDE OF HIGHWAY 24. THE ADDRESSES OF THOSE
SITES ARE: 185 CLODFELTER CT., NEWPORT, NC, DONALD MASON, OWNER; AND 178
STARGAZER LANE, NEWPORT, NC; FRANCIS BEECHAM, OWNER.
