Attached is General Permit #55365C to construct a 200x6 pier at 177 Meadows Lane in
Swansboro, NC.
In order to validate this permit, please sign the permit as indicated. Retain the white copy for
your files and return the signed yellow and pink copies to us in the enclosed, self-addressed
envelope. If the signed permit copies are not returned to this office before the initiation of
development, you will be working without authorization and will be subject to a Notice of
Violation and subsequent civil penalties.

Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
Iandowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Enclosed are the adjacent riparian statements and the $200 check for the general permit.
Depending on when you want to make a site visit, I may be able to be there. However we
are expecting our 2"d grandchild any day, if not before April 13t", they plan to induce, so
if that doesn't work out you could just give me a call and I should be able to answer any
questions you might have.
There is the remnant of our old dock where we had salvaged some of the old dock
sections where we plan to rebuild the dock. There are some steps going down that you
should be able to see next to 177 Meadows Ln right across from 176. You can park
either in the 176 driveway or behind 177. There isn't a driveway at 177, we just park on
the grass. The houses are covered with cedar shakes.
The neighbors have a boxer that can sort of sneak up on you, but he's friendly.
