Dear Yvonne and Ron,
I am writing to inform the Division of Coastal Management of our intentto continue maintenance
dredging as it relates to NCDEQ Permit #153-09. We will be adhering to the original dimensions and
areas outlined in the permit and no areas outside the permitted areas will be addressed.
We will be using Perry Marine again for this maintenance project. Mark Perry has worked with us in the
past and is familiar with the permit and dredging maps. Our budget wilt altow us to remove
approximately 2400 cubic yards of material. We anticipate addressing proposed maintenance dredge
area #1, the North entrance Avery Pond Canal and proposed maintenance dredge area #2, the South
entrance to Tarkle Creek. The spoils which we dredge will be offloaded to trucks staged at a common lot
owned by Kitty Hawk Landing. The offloading lot location is 4053 Tarkle Ridge Drive. I will post the
dredge permit on the street frontage of the lot to inform residents of the permit. The spoils will be
trucked in watertight containers to an approved area by Mark Perry.
Mark Perry has indicated he would like to begin staging on or about October 1 st, 2024 He anticipates the
work to take about 2 weeks depending on weather.
