Dear Sir or Madem, I have enclosed an application for a shed to be placed on my property located at 700 Serenity Way, Sneads Ferry NC, 28460 in Onslow County. With that, I want to be completely transparent. I am filing this application AFTER the shed was installed. I know this is a violation of the regulations. I do apologize, but at my own fault, not being from NC, and relocating from MD in December 2022, 1 trusted and listened to the business 1 purchased the shed from, as well as neighbors who told me if I was not building a shed from the ground up, pouring concrete, installing electric, or running a small home business I did not have to file for an application. When I found out I was not in compliance, and I did call CAMA as well as Onslow County to verify what I did wrong, explain the situation and a very nice agent (Kendrick Stanton) gave me the information I needed to move forward with the application and a field agent went over my land plot with me, because I was not aware of a buffer line. It has taken several weeks, because we did move the shed a second time (forward in my side yard and away from a wet land buffer zone) and getting someone out took a bit. Again I had no idea about the zone and just trusted what I was told by the developer and home agent as to where 1 could put the shed. When we originally had the shed placed on the property, our adjacent next-door neighbor at 702 Serenity way was not in her home. So, in the letter 1 wrote to her and hand delivered, I explained the situation as to why we are asking after the shed has been there, and as you can see in the copy of the letter to her, I state it in there as well. The pictures attached in this package show the current placement. I am hopeful this placement will be in compliance so I can get some sleep at night. As I am learning a lot of hard lessons here lately. With that, I want to be completely transparent. I am filing this application AFTER the shed was installed. I know this is a violation of the regulations. I do apologize, but at my own fault, not being from NC, and relocating from MD in December 2022, 1 trusted and listened to the business I purchased the shed from, as well as neighbors who told me if I was not building a shed from the ground up, pouring concrete, installing electric, or running a small home business I did not have to file for an application. When I found out I was not in compliance, and I did call CAMA as well as Onslow County to verify what I did wrong, explain the situation and a very nice agent (Kendrick Stanton) gave me the information I needed to move forward with the application and a field agent went over my land plot with me, because I was not aware of a buffer line. It has taken several weeks, because we did move the shed a second time (forward in my side yard and away from a wet land buffer zone) and getting someone out took a bit. Again I had no idea about the zone and just trusted what I was told by the developer and home agent as to where I could put the shed. When we originally had the shed placed on the property, our adjacent next-door neighbor at 702 Serenity way was not in her home. So, in the letter I wrote to her and hand delivered, I explained the situation as to why we are asking after the shed has been there, and as you can see in the copy of the letter to her, I state it in there as well. The pictures attached in this package show the current placement. I am hopeful this placement will be in compliance so I can get some sleep at night. As I am learning a lot of hard lessons here lately.
