Greetings James,
My wife and I have recently purchased 318 Old Stanton and are looking to install a boat lift on the existing pilings
associated with the dock in slip 14B—the slip associated with our property.
Per NC Division of Coastal Management Requirements, I tried to reach out to you via registered mail as a number
of us are out of town. Sorry we can't make it to the association meeting or we might have been able to do this in
person. The USPS was unable to deliver the mail to the mailing address I was given from the Stanton Landing
association as shown in the attached tracking info. The division is allowing me to send via email instead.
The division requires us to notify"adjacent riparian property owners",which applies as your dock/lot is next to our
dock,of our plan and give you a chance to comment if you wish.
Attached is the drawing of our plan (nothing new other than hanging the lift off the existing pilings). Also included is
a form for you to sign and return. If you have no objections, I understand you don't have to return the form. That is
explained in the attachments.

I get email and regular mail from the Stanton landing folks so I don't know what address they give you . I
couldn't find an address on the tracking info you sent as it was somewhat illegible.

Welcome to the neighborhood. My apologies for the missed letter. Not sure what happened but we never
received a notice. I believe you are the dock just south of mine? I share my dock with a new neighbor that
I have not met yet. Not sure if you need his sign off. His lift is the one closest to your dock. I am on the
north side. I think you are my nextdoor neighbor also. I've no issues with the lift install. If you ever need
