Easley,Governor Charles S. Jones, Director William G.Ross Jr.,Secretary MEMORANDUM: TO: DOUG HUGGETT THRU: TERE BARRETT li FROM: STEPHEN LANE SUBJECT: MINOR MODIFICATION REQUEST—CAMA MAJOR PERMIT#138-03, HATTERAS YACHTS, CRAVEN COUNTY DATE: April 11, 2005 Please find..enclosed a request from Mr. Andy Misky,*Jr., Manager of Facility Engineering of Hatteras Yachts to modity State Permit #138-03. This permit was originally issued to Hatteras Yachts on October 8, 2003 for the installation of a new travel lift well,.bulkhead, and excavation of the adjacent waters in association with an existing boat manufacturing facility. The permit is valid thru December 31, 2006. Mr. Misky proposes to remove four sections of the existing fixed docks which are 4' x 60' each,'six concrete piling caps, and eighteen steel building support pilings. He proposes to then install three 30" diameter pilings to support the overhead boathouse structure and add two floating docks. Each floating dock would be comprised of an 8' x 30' platform adjacent to the existing main fixed dock leading to a 6' x 52' pier. The floating platforms will be accessed via two 3' x 12' aluminum gangways which will extend from an existing catwalk between the two proposed platforms. All of the existing and proposed structures are under the existing roofline of the boathouse on the north side of the existing boat basin and therefore will not cause any increase in shading. The proposed new dockage will result in the usurpation of 174 additional square feet of public trust area. Mr. Misky has submitted the required $100 fee with his request and a copy of the check is attached. I have determined the request for the minor modification of the permit is consistent with the current rules and regulations of this Division. Therefore, I have no objections to the proposal with reference to the attached drawings if all existing conditions remain valid unless modified herein. 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, North Carolina 28557 Phone: 252-808-2808\FAX: 252-247-3330\Internet: www.nccoastalmanagement.net An Equal Opportunity\Affirmative Action Employer—50%Recycled\10%Post Consumer Paper v A907A FIA W- Af December 28, 2009 NCDENR 400 COMMERCE AVE MOREHEAD CITY,NC 28557 In a review of our bank records, it was noted that our check# 344198, in the amount of$100.00, dated 3/14/2005, has not cleared our bank.
