After making a site inspection on July 10, 2024,1 have determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needing a CAMA Minor Development Permit, as long as it remains consistent with your project drawing, submitted on July 3, 2024, and it also meets the conditions specified below. If you plans should change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact me before proceeding. SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE ESTAURINE SHORELINE AEC EXEMPTED 1. All development shall be constructed more than 40 feet landward of normal high water or normal water level and shall not exceed a 30% impervious coverage within 75 feet of the normal high water or normal water level; 2. No land disturbing activity within the 40 feet buffer area; 3. The development shall be consistent with all other applicable CAMA permit standards, NC Building Code standards, local ordinances and local land use plans in effect at the time the exemption is granted; 4. This exemption also allows for the construction of a generally shore perpendicular access to the water, provided that the access shall be no wider than six feet. The access may be constructed out of materials such as wood, composite material, gravel, paver stones, concrete, brick, or similar materials. Any access constructed over wetlands shall be elevated at least three feet above any wetland substrate as measured from the bottom of the decking. This exemption to CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of your obtaining any other State, Federal or Local authorization. Construction of the structure authorized by this exemption shall be completed by December 31 of the third year of the issuance date of this exemption. Please have the applicant fill out the attached agent authorization form and submit it to me. - I need the full mailing address for Donna Fowler, including address, city, state, zip, phone number and email. - The notification sent to Jewel Davenport (assuming that is correct because the green &white receipt's "sent to" is blank) has not been delivered perthe tracking number. An application is not considered complete until actual proof of notification has occurred. Please also completely fill out the "sent to" section of the certified mail green and white receipt so it is known who it was sent to. - Typically, the applicant must submit the square footage of the Lot within the CAMA 75' AEC as well as the existing and proposed impervious square footage and percentage. The plat submitted indicated coverage for the entire Lot only; however, I was able to use adobe acrobat pro to measure the Lot area within the 75' AEC, as well as the existing and proposed coverage. Per my measurements, the area within the 75' AEC is —9,050 sf, existing impervious area is-1,070 sf (11.82%) within the AEC and the proposed cumulative impervious area is —2,054 sf (22.7%) within the AEC. Per CAMA regulations, impervious area within the AEC must be 30% or less. Please verify these amounts and let me know if you are in agreement.
