This letter of refinement is in reference to a request to modify Major CAMA Permit Number
66-03 issued on 19 May 2003 for the filling of 404 wetlands and construction of a single-family
residential structure onsite your property located off SR 1375 on lot 39 of the Oyster Creek Banks
subdivision on Oyster Creek off the Pamlico Sound on Ocracroke Island, Hyde County, North
Carolina.
Your request to enlarge the proposed deck,essentially modifying the original proposed t8'x
±32' triangle-shaped open deck to a square ±10' x ±32' open deck is hereby authorized. This
modification will impact Zone 1 of the Tar/Pamlico River Basin Buffer. Your application package
did not include impacts to Zone 1 of the Tar/Pamlico Buffer Rule. I suggest that you contact Kyle
Barnes or Tom Steffens with the Division of Water Quality(252)946-6481 reference authorization
from the Division of Water Quality.
All previous permit conditions including the 31 December 2006 expiration dates still apply
and remain unchanged. Your modified plat dated 22 June 2005 illustrating the authorized changes
will become a part of the permit file and construction should be accomplished accordingly.
