Through coordination with the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, we have learned of the modification of your State permit to authorize the construction and backfill of a bulkhead and the grading of a sand beach, all work landward of the normal water elevation contour and any wetland vegetation. This work is not subject to our regulatory jurisdiction; therefore, the Federal authorization need not be modified. You may continue activity in strict accordance with applicable State authorization and subsquent modifications. If any additional change in your work is required because of unforeseen or altered conditions or for any other reason, plans revised to show the change must be sent promptly to this office and the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management prior to performing any such change or alteration.
