Dear Mr. Stillwagon:
This letter of refinement is in reference to Mr. Greg Finch's 22 January 2007
correspondence (attached) on your behalf, requesting a modification of Major CAMA Permit Number
176-05 issued to you on 09 November 2005. Permit Number 176-05 was issued for the development
of a retaining wall with riprap back-fill, bulkhead, 399 single family lots, a golf course with club house,
access roads and parking areas in the Innsbrook development adjacent the Chowan River. The
permitted activity is located on the Chowan River and Salmon Creek, near the Merry Hill Township, at
the end of SR 1502, in Bertie County, North Carolina.
You have requested permission to amend the permit to extend the permitted retaining wall
around the wetland area at the southern end of Section "C". Mr. Josh Pelletier of the US Army Corps
of Engineers reevaluated the area and you have included the signed wetland delineation plat dated
17 January 2007 (attached). Your request to align the retaining wall around the landward side of the
wetland area with dimensions of 75.5' on the northern return, 20' across the landward end, 75' along
the southern return connecting into a 71 .75' section along the river front is hereby authorized. All
work must be carried out in accordance with your revised plat dated 22 January 2007 (see attached).
All permit conditions including the 31 December 2008 expiration date still apply and remain
unchanged. Thank you for your time and cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions,
