DATE: January 5, 2012
SUBJECT: Minor Modification Request
CAMA Major Permit No. 84-05
Waterfronte Development, LLC, Carolina Beach, New Hanover County
Mr. Charles D. Cameron, Sr, President of Waterfronte Villa Owners Association, Inc. is
requesting to modify State Permit No. 84-05. State Permit No. 84-05 was originally authorized
through the Express Permit Program on July 8, 2005 for maintenance excavation within the
existing marina basin. A Major Modification to State Permit No. 84-05 was authorized on June
9, 2006 for up to six (6) additional slips within the marina. State Permit No. 84-05 expired on
December 31, 2011; however, this permit was subject to extension by the Session Law 2009-
406, the Permit Extension Act, as amended by Session Law 2010-177, therefore the processing
fee has been waived and renewal of the permit is authorized without exception. The new
expiration date for State Permit No. 129-01 is December 31, 2014.
Mr. Cameron is requesting to allow for the increase of docking for up to three (3) vessels at the
existing marina facility at the waterward end of existing "T-heads" located at Docks A, B and C,
which currently accommodate one (1) larger vessel each. This would allow the marina to
accommodate up to 178 vessels. Mr. Cameroon is also requesting to allow for the installation of
a "Sun Stream" floating boatlift within an authorized slip located at C-76.
The agent has submitted a check (ck# 4104) in the amount of $100.00 for the modification
request. This office has no objections to the modification request.

Provided there are no new permanent docking structures or piles installed in the federal
channel setback of the adjacent federal channel, the Corps does not object to proposed slips.
Note: There have been boats docked there quite some time. Check it on Google Earth.
