A copy of the original permit plans with cross-hatching indicating the area to be maintained, the area to be used for spoil disposal, and the estimated amount of material to be removed. The location, design and holding capacity of the spoil disposal site shall be approved by a representative of the Division prior to the initiation of any maintenance dredging activities. D. The current permit is valid until December 31,2019. Due to the ongoing changes in the channel on Pierce Creek in Pamlico County, the marina may need to maintenance dredge the channel as early as December 2020. The entrance to the channel appears to be filling in more quickly than in the past. I am requesting a 4 year extension of the existing permit #38-05 to give the marina the flexibility to dredge from as early as December 2020 or as funding will allow. The marina has continued to pursue additional projects as granted under its permit as funds have become available.As a not-for-profit corporation, this additional time enables the marina to maintain the existing channel not only for our 86 slips but for the 200 neighbors on Pierce Creek who also use the channel.
