RE: Refinement of State Permit#133-05,NC Maritime Museum(Gallants Channel location)
Please find enclosed a request from Mr. Brent Creelman representing the NC Maritime Museum to modify
(refine)the existing CAMA permit. The original permit, #133-05, was issued on 8/25/05 and is set to expire on
12/31/12.
The applicant is proposing to remove 360 square feet of existing concrete sidewalk and replace with 360 square
feet (1,620 engraved bricks) of 4 inch x 8 inch bricks set in sand. The proposal is consistent with the specific
guidelines found in 15A NCAC 07H.0209. I recommend the refinement be authorized as proposed, contingent
all original conditions apply.

March 27, 2012
Heather:
On behalf of the North Carolina Maritime Museum I would like
to request that CAMA Major Permit #133-05 be refined to reflect
the removal of 360 square feet of existing concrete sidewalk
and the replacement of it with 360 square feet of 4"x8" bricks
set in sand.
What we are proposing here is:
-Installation of approximately 1620 engraved bricks in place of an
existing sidewalk on the waterfront of the museum's Gallant
Channel site.
- Existing gravel under sidewalk will be used as the foundation.
- Sand will be used to level on set the bricks.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Brent Creelman
