In this case we would issue a R&M exemption. If it is to be replaced 2' waterward of the existing, then we can issue a 07H .1100 general permit for it. For the replacement of the 90' breakwater, I would say the 07H .2000 general permit would be appropriate. I'm attaching the use standards for both permits mentioned above. Once you are ready to move forward with the permitting, just contact Cynthia and I and one of us will process the request. This repair is needed as the sheet pile walls that are in place currently have eroded due to wave action and recent storm activity. We have funding to complete the repairs and the intent is to complete the breakwater repair this summer around June (depending on schedules),I have included preliminary plans along with a Google Earth pin indicating the project's location as attachments to this email. I want to run this by you and get your feedback on the project before we begin getting neighboring approval and the permit processed.
